Zoho Books pricing in the U.S.: compare plans by limits

Compare Zoho Books by annual revenue eligibility, users, and invoice capacity before looking at the monthly price. On October 22, 2026, Zoho's U.S. pages listed Standard at $20/month or $15/month billed annually, Professional at $50 or $40, and Premium at $70 or $60. The Free plan is advertised while financial-year revenue does not exceed $50,000. Prices are U.S. dollars per organization per month; annual amounts are paid annually, and taxes or add-ons may change the total.

What annual billing commits you to

Standard costs $240 across 12 monthly bills, versus $180 on annual billing, a $60 difference before tax. Professional costs $600 monthly across a year versus $480 annual; Premium costs $840 versus $720. Annual billing lowers the listed equivalent but requires paying upfront. If you may outgrow the plan or leave soon, include the cash commitment and refund terms.

Zoho lists extra users at $3/month, or $2.50/month billed annually. Two extra Standard users would add $72 per year at the monthly rate or $60 annualized on annual billing, assuming the published add-on terms still apply. Check whether any other feature is an add-on too.

Choose by constraints

  • Free: examine it if financial-year revenue does not exceed $50,000, one user plus accountant access is enough, and 1,000 invoices a year covers the workload.
  • Standard: compare it when a paid plan is needed and three users and 5,000 invoices fit.
  • Professional: consider it for five users, higher invoice volume, or a feature that only appears at this tier.
  • Premium: price it when the 10-user allowance or additional limits solve a specific need.

A break-even worksheet

Annual software cost = subscription plus required user add-ons. If you want to estimate cost per hour saved, divide annual cost by hours actually saved based on a small trial or a work log. Example: $180/year ÷ 12 hours saved = $15 per saved hour. That is a calculation aid, not a savings forecast.
